Crystal Lee and I had an awesome time celebrating Chinese New Year at the Renfrew Park Community Centre.
And thanks to Crystal's mom, our senior advisor who was on speed dial for our questions on protocol!
It's beautiful and touching to see families sharing their traditions with one another. Crystal explained to me that it is traditional to share meals and visit with immediate family and extended family over this season.
It's traditional to wear red and gold clothing, but some other colours are acceptable--like pink!
